Christine Bauer, MBA, CFRE


Christine Bauer, MBA, CFRE is Senior Associate Director of Development (Philanthropy) at Stanford University Medical Center, which she joined in 2011 to lead a $20 million mini-campaign for the Stanford Women’s Cancer Center. She went on to help lead fundraising for the $250 million cancer initiative of the Campaign for Stanford Medicine. In 2015, she was invited to spearhead development efforts for Stanford’s Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine, her current role. Prior to Stanford, Christine worked in marketing and account executive roles in business start-up, and prior to that, in advertising. She transitioned to the nonprofit sector after becoming involved with a global giving network to empower women living in extreme poverty. A Certified Fund Raising Executive, Christine earned her MBA from Portland State University and holds Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and French from Marquette University. She is a Beta Gamma Sigma business honor society member, a three-time participant in Stanford’s Nonprofit Management Institute, and an alumna of the Global Health Centre of the Graduate Institute Geneva in Switzerland. Christine has three daughters and lives in Los Altos, California.
