Susan Sherwin has more than 30 years experience in senior administrative, development and fundraising positions. She began her career at Harvard University as Administrative Assistant to Matina Horner, the President of Radcliffe College. Several years later, as an Assistant and then Associate Dean at the Harvard Medical School, she worked closely with the Dean, Dr. Daniel Tosteson, completing numerous major gifts for a capital campaign. Recruited by Harvard Divinity School to be their Associate Dean for Development, she organized and lead the most successful campaign in their history at the time. In 2003 Walter Isaacson, then the new CEO of the Aspen Institute, hired Susan to be the Executive Vice President for Development, where she built a fundraising team that quickly tripled the annual revenue and revitalized the Society of Fellows, a donor group that provided key support for the institution.
