Franklin W. Huang, MD, PhD - Co-Founder & President

Dr. Franklin Huang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of California San Francisco where he runs a research laboratory focused on cancer disparities. He received his M.D. at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and his Ph.D. in genetics at Harvard University. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital followed by a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the Dana-Farber/PartnersCancerCare Program. Dr. Huang is working to improve cancer treatment in underserved and understudied populations. His research focuses on prostate cancer and on the role of non-coding mutations in cancer. Dr. Huang has also worked in global health for over fifteen years and along with Ami Bhatt, is the co-founder and co-director of Global Oncology (GO), a volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to improving cancer care and research in the developing world.
